In search of Mahadevi
That is to say what is God, What is Maya, What is Jiwatma - the individual soul - and how the Jiwatma is distracted by the pursuit of its own wishes and desires and how it consequently drifts farther and farther from Almightly.
During the next year, Swamiji shifted to the place where Mahadevi is situated these days. There were many natural caves at this place and in the older days also the Sages used these caves for meditation. So this place was also called Yogi Nala.
Swamiji used to sit under one small cave. Devotees started going there and served him in their own way, according to their devotion, capacity and capability. I used to go there off and on. The relation between myself and Swamiji was simply a friend one. The time passed in his company at this place is perhaps the happiest moments of my life. The process continued for quite some time. Swamiji had a very little belongings, he used to it fire and make tea for his followres and do meditation when he was all alone.
In one of his deep meditation Swamiji got an intuition that Maha Maya - the cosmic mother, Mata Vaishno Devi desires and ordains that her temple should be made in the adjoining cave. Swamiji talked to his devotees and all were prepared to do this work. The adjoining cave was cleared of the debris and after doing some more earth work, a long cave was found and it was decided to establish the idol of Vaishno Mata in this cave.
